In order to keep the list current (as we know you want it to be) we need to be able to contact you by email on occasion.

In an effort to reduce spam, a lot of legitimate email gets blocked. Please ensure that this does not happen to you by adding wsl@warmshowers.org to your "white list" of approved senders.

AOL users:
Once you have logged into your account go to your Inbox. There are 2 things that we will do from here:

1. Click on the "Contacts" link from the menu on the left hand side of the page. Click on the "New" button in the window that appears and select "New Contact" from the pull-down menu.
• Fill in the "Contact Name" fields with an identifying name of your choice.
• In the "New Contact" window type "wsl@warmshowers.org" in the box labeled "Email 1".
• Click the "Create" button
2. Return to your Inbox and click on "Settings". On the page that appears choose "Spam Settings" from the menu on the left. In the window that appears:
• Set the Spam Filter setting to a value less than "High"
• In the Sender Filter section: from the pulldown menu set choose a setting other than "Allow mail only from aol.com users" or "Block mail from all senders". If you choose "Allow mail only from addresses I specify" then be sure to enter "wsl@warmshowers.org" in the box underneath labeled "Enter username or email address"
• In the Blocked Mail section select "Deliver blocked mail to Spam folder"
• Click the "Save" button

Gmail users:
Once you have logged into your account click on "Create a filter" (located next to the "Search the Web" button near the top of the page). This takes you to a webpage titled "Create a Filter".

1. for "Choose search criteria" type wsl@warmshowers.org in the "From:" box and leave the other boxes empty; click on the "Next Step" button
2. for "Choose action" select the "Never send it to Spam" box; click on the "Create Filter" button

Hotmail users:
Once you have logged on go to your Inbox page. From here click on "Options" and from the pull-down menu that appears choose "More Options...".
Click on "Safe and blocked senders" (under the "Junk e-mail" header) on the page that appears.
Click the "Safe senders" link on the next page you see. Type wsl@warmshowers.org into the box titled "Sender or domain to mark as safe:" and click the "Add to list >>" button.

Yahoo! users:
Once you are logged into your account click "Mail". From the page that displays your Inbox select "Options" and then select "More Options" from the pull-down menu.
On the webpage that appears:

1. Click "Filters"
2. Click "Add Filter"

On the "[New Filter]" window that appears:

1. In the "Filter name:" box create a name for this new filter
2. In the line labeled "sender:"
• select "contains" from the pull-down menu
• type in "wsl@warmshowers.org" in the next box
• do not check the "sender match case" box at the end of this line
3. In the "Move to Folder:" line at the botoom select "Inbox" from the pull-down menu
4. Click on "Save Changes"

For all others:
Please add wsl@warmshowers.org to your address book or list of contacts.

By following the instructions above, you will hopefully get every announcement and important piece of news that we send. It is unfortunate that you may need to take these special steps to receive our messages, but it is a small effort to make sure you are well informed.
